Dear Mr. Barnebey: I was thrilled to discover your post. You’ve written a funny, honest, and spot-on commentary on the odd and wonderful ways to find inspiration. What you write applies not only to composing music, but to the creative process generally, though, as a composer, with a keen focus on sound. Your goose at the doorstep to musical accompaniment is a marvelous touch. I hope you will keep writing in words as well as music, and I look forward to the works you compose in both media.
